All PTO BI Aurora Employees (not SCA) will receive an update from the company regarding the legal changes being made to PTO to comply with the new Illinois Law requiring 40 hours of Paid Leave to be given to all full-time employees.
The wording on the addendum may be a bit concerning but rest assured, nothing significant will change with your PTO time per Lora (Corporate HR). The primary change will be to convert UPTO to Paid Leave. No one will be gaining or losing any PTO, the pay code will simply separate the two banks of time to comply with IL law.
For example, if you have 160 hours of PTO at this time, that is including 40 hours of UPTO already. After the update goes live in August, if you had 160 hours of PTO, it will now reflect you have 120 hours of PTO and 40 hours of Paid Leave. Still the same 40 hours but it will be tracked and calculated separately and entered differently with a new pay code.
If you have any questions, please leave comments, email Support@NffeBI.com, or contact Lora who is on site today at BI Aurora.
*This update is NOT for SCA Employees*
